This is a project I have been working on this week. First I sketched it than scanned it, added some texture and some light and shade with Photostudio. I was wondering if anyone can give me some tips on how to get a better and more professional looking effect, which programe is best to use and what techniques are best for manipulation, things like that. Id really appreciates some advice as Im only new to this. Thanks.

Cool. This is very sensual Graphite. I find that Photostudio is very good for image manipulation, there are others you can try too, just do a Google or if you like I can PM you some cool links. It's just a matter of fiddling around really. The more you fiddle the more you learn. I like what you have done. The only critique that I have is in 'proportion' - I feel the top part of her body may be rather too large in relation to her bottom half. What do you think? Your hands are excellent. I would have preferred to see the original sketch of this before you took it to photostudio. I feel the more hand work you can see the better. The thing about detecting good art is still being able to see the pencil scratches within the image. Very well done though.

Its true. No one can really suggest what will work best for you. It is a matter of experiment. Are you not happy with your result?
I think its fine.
